Description

Ljudevit Šestić was born on August 4, 1900 in Đakovo, where he lived until he was six years old. He attended elementary school in many places (Ogulin, Otočac, Koprivnica, Ivanec, Slavonski Brod, Čakovec, and finished in Zagreb in 1913), and there he graduated from the Lower Real Gymnasium and the Secondary Technical School in 1920. The Royal Academy of Arts and Crafts enrolled in 1921. The professors who taught him were Ferdo Kovačević, Maksimilijan Vanka, Ljubo Babić, Jozo Kljaković, Oton Iveković, Tomislav Krizman and Vladimir Becić, in whose class he graduated in 1925.[2] He died on August 12, 1962 in Zagreb.
