Boris Bućan (Zagreb, March 15, 1947), Croatian fine artist, painter and graphic designer. He also creates in glass. Regular member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The poster for the ballet "The Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky at the Croatian National Theater in Split is the most famous poster by Boris Bućan, which brought him one of the greatest recognitions when it was published on the cover of the catalog of the exhibition "The Power of Poster" of the London Victoria and Albert Museum.
The poster stands out for its expressive grass graphics that runs through many of the author's works and serves as a starting point for the treatment and design of other motifs. The information content located on the black border of the poster is also Bućan's trademark, along with the size of the poster of almost 2 meters in both directions.
